I stayed at Hotel Vieja Cuba a couple of times while in Ecuador. The staff was very kind -- even made us a take away breakfast when we had to leave at 4:30 in the morning. This is a cute little boutique hotel - there is a comfy sitting room with multiple couches downstairs and a couple of other gathering areas upstairs; a comfortable breakfast room where they serve you a variety fruit & scrambled eggs. Our rooms were fine -- nothing fancy but clean & comfortable. The location was handy -- much quieter than being near the historic center. We could walk easily to dinner in Mariscal (or to the indigenous market) and then take a cab to the center when desired. I would stay here again when in Quito.

The hotel was perfect and the staff was very accommodating! We got in on a late flight & requested an airport transfer to the hotel prior to us arriving. Our car was waiting and got us right to the hotel, check in was incredibly smooth which was appreciated after a late flight. Breakfast was waiting for us the next morning. When we informed them that we would be checking out at 5am they offered us a to-go breakfast. The hotel was clean and adorable. Perfect for our stay and needs. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in

The hotel is comfortable, quiet, and in a great location. The breakfast was exceptional - more than just the standard eggs and a roll that many places serve. When we asked about breakfast on our last morning, we realized that we would have to leave before it was served. The staff prepared us bagged breakfasts without us even asking. So nice! And this is one of the few places we've stayed in the country that will actually accept a credit card instead of cash. Most claim their reader is broken so they won't have to accept a card.

The location of the property is outside Quito old town but very accessible and there are a large variety of restaurants and other shops available close by all of which were of a great standard. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The common spaces were very well appointed and tea, coffee and water were available at all times. Breakfast was a little limited in terms of options but ample in quantity. Highly recommended!!!!

Staff was very helpful and accommodating. I didn't realize when I booked it there was no elevator and my husband needs one. They changed our room and in fact gave us a larger room and didn't charge us extra. Breakfast is very nice and it is cute how they provide a name tag at the table they set for you. The facility has good hot water but you just need to be patient for it to heat up (app.3-4 minutes). I would stay here again.
